Dear Johnson Families,
Good afternoon everyone. This week we celebrated Red Ribbon Week and National Week of Respect. The students looked fantastic as they dressed the part in our themed week. Students heard morning messages and lessons on saying no to drugs and being respectful to one another. We started our Reach/Soar to Success programs in the morning. Thank you to all the parents for getting the students here in a timely manner. Today we held a fire drill for the students to practice their exit route. School will be closed for students on Monday, October 12th, as the staff will be having a professional development day.
As you enter Johnson school, you will notice in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Johnson School family has created our own “Pink Tree of Hope”. The tree is on display in Johnson’s front lobby and symbolizes our awareness and continued support of this important cause. Pink ribbons will be placed on the tree in recognition of individuals who have been affected by the illness. For a $1.oo donation, a ribbon will be placed on the tree with the name of an individual (in honor of, in support of, or in memory of). All donations will be forwarded to the American Cancer Society. Once we receive your dedication and donation, we will write the names on the ribbons and place them on our “Pink Tree of Hope”. In addition to our “Tree of Hope”,
