Jackson School District Curriculum Online

We are proud to announce the launch of a new website that has a searchable database of the approved curriculum in the Jackson School District.

This resource, known as the
Rubicon Atlas Curriculum Program, provides public access to our most up-to-date curriculum, including overviews of content by grade level, unit summaries and the essential questions students are expected to be able to answer upon completion of each unit.

To get started, click on the icon above. Select the “Browse’’ tab to see a list of courses, or begin searching by grade and subject on your own.

For now, the site features our complete curriculum in the areas of English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Physical Education and Health and World Language. This site will be a living database that will be updated as we update our curriculum to be fully aligned with state standards. (e.g. Science, Music, Art, Business, Technology).

We are proud of our curriculum and we hope you will enjoy being able to take a first-hand look at all the ways we strive to help students excel.

Principal's Message

April 22, 2016

Dear Johnson Families,

Good afternoon, I hope everyone had a great week and enjoyed the beautiful spring weather. This week we continued with PARCC make-up testing for third, fourth and fifth grade students. We conducted an evacuation drill down to Camp Joy in the event we ever have a true emergency.  Students who exhibited good character were celebrated during Lunch with the Principal.  We also had an assembly to recognize all of the wonderful accomplishments of our students throughout the 3rd marking period.

As a reminder the portal opens to parents on 4/25 to view third marking period grades. If you have any problems logging in please call the main office.

If you drop off in the morning or pick up in the afternoon you may have noticed the orange traffic cones in the front of the school. In an effort to eliminate congestion and potential unsafe situations, we are looking to improve our drop-off procedures. As you approach the coned area, please pull up as far as you can so other cars can file in behind you. At this point students can quickly exit the car on the passenger (right) side only.  If for some reason you (parent/adult) need to exit the vehicle, please park in a designated spot and walk your child to the crosswalk. We have found parents are exiting their car and walking students to the door leaving a log jam of cars behind.  This new procedure should expedite the line.  Please be patient and wait to move thru the line single file.  DO NOT attempt to go around cars on the left side if you have already unloaded your child. This practice has lead to unsafe conditions for students and near accidents. Thank you for your help as we look to improve our procedures.  Additionally,
