Dear Johnson Families,
We had a wonderful week at the Johnson School as the weather is finally cooperating with us. On Tuesday, the Jackson Police Department visited for another D.A.R.E. assembly. On Wednesday, our fourth graders took the NJ ASK Science test. We would like to thank the PTO for sponsoring all of the great trips this week. On Thursday, our fifth graders went to the Philadelphia Zoo and our second graders went to the Algonquin Theater. On Friday, the kindergarteners went on their class trip to Green Meadows Farm. All of our students and staff had a wonderful time.
Please pay careful attention to the paragraph below regarding Camp Invention. Mr. Levinson and I are excited to be hosting this program at the Johnson School in August. If your child enjoyed working in our design studio this year this might be the camp for them!
CAMP Invention is coming to Jackson! In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame, the Jackson School District is pleased to offer the nationally-acclaimed Camp Invention program to children entering grades one through five. It's an exciting, summer adventure with lessons that explore connections between STEM and innovation. Children will work together to seek solutions to real-world problems and sharpen critical 21st century learning skills while rotating through several fascinating modules. Program runs from Aug. 1-4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. See our flyer and registration information.
