I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and spending quality time with family and friends. We are working hard at the Johnson School to get ready to open in the fall with a squeaky clean building. I wanted to take this opportunity to share a couple of items with you. First, from the Jackson Child Care Department:

Enrollment for the 2014-2015 JACKSON CHILD CARE ACADEMY Child Care Program has begun. To register, please visit the Jackson Child Care Academy link:
Please note that in order for your child(ren) to attend Child Care on the first day of school, September 3, 2014, payment and the registration form must be submitted and received by the Child Care offices (located in at the Goetz School – Trailer “I”) no later than Friday, August 15th

Please remember that the LAST day for registration to ensure child care placement for the FIRST day of school is August 15th. Registration information/requests/payments received after that date will NOT be able to start child care services until the SECOND or THIRD week of school. Due to safety and procedural concerns, exceptions WILL NOT be made regarding this deadline of August 15th.

Second, I wanted to let you know about an upcoming fundraiser for one of Johnson’s students.
“Team Joey” will be hosting a benefit dinner for Joey Weikel at Solla Bella on Tuesday, August 12th from 6-9 pm. Joey is an 8 year old boy recently diagnosed with Burkitts Leukemia. Our hope is that this benefit will assist Joey's family with medical and travel expenses.
The cost is $25 per person. Dinner will include a choice of 4 entrées:
Chicken parmigiana with penne pasta
Eggplant rolatini with penne pasta
Penne vodka with or without chicken
Penne with broccoli with or without chicken
*dinner comes with family style salad, breads, and coffee, tea, and soda.*
There will also be a basket raffle. Raffle tickets will be sold at the event. 5 tickets for $10 and 10 tickets for $20. There will also be a 50/50. Anyone wishing to donate a gift basket or gift cards/ certificates will be greatly appreciated. We will need to know about basket donations ASAP. Baskets need to be in by Saturday August 9th, and delivered to: Lisa Brullo

We are anticipating a huge response to this event, therefore tickets will not be available at the door. Tickets need to be purchased by Tuesday August 5th.
