Dear Johnson Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful week. I want to thank the parents who came to our Back to School Nights. Each event was very well attended and the teachers enjoyed the opportunity to meet the parents of their students. We look forward to working closely with you throughout this school year. This week we also had our Welcome Kindergarten event. I want to thank Ms. Engel, Mrs. Macauley, Mrs. Blenner, Mrs. Sedar and the PTO for helping to coordinate this event. The students had a great time doing crafts with their parents and teachers.
As you enter the school, you will notice in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Johnson School family has created our own “Pink Tree of Hope”. The tree is on display in Johnson’s front lobby and symbolizes our awareness and continued support of this important cause. Pink ribbons will be placed on the tree in recognition of individuals who have been affected by the illness. For a $1.oo donation, a ribbon will be placed on the tree with the name of an individual (in honor of, in support of, or in memory of). All donations will be forwarded to the American Cancer Society. Once we receive your dedication and donation, we will write the names on the ribbons and place them on our “Pink Tree of Hope”. In addition to our “Tree of Hope”, Monday, October 20th, will be our “Pretty in Pink Day”. Students and staff are being asked to wearpink to show their support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
We will be celebrating
