Dear Johnson Families,
We had a wonderful week at the Johnson School. Our fourth graders went to the State House and Barracks and our third graders went to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. Thank you to the PTO for sponsoring these trips for our students. The safety patrol went to the State Police Barracks and then enjoyed a pizza lunch in our courtyard. A great big thank you goes out to the PTO and all the parents who helped make teacher appreciation week so special. I cannot thank you enough for all of the wonderful food and treats provided throughout the week.
Please pay careful attention to the paragraph below regarding Camp Invention. Mr. Levinson and I are excited to be hosting this program at the Johnson School in August. If your child enjoyed working in our design studio this year this might be the camp for them!
CAMP Invention is coming to Jackson! In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame, the Jackson School District is pleased to offer the nationally-acclaimed Camp Invention program to children entering grades one through five. It's an exciting, summer adventure with lessons that explore connections between STEM and innovation. Children will work together to seek solutions to real-world problems and sharpen critical 21st century learning skills while rotating through several fascinating modules. Program runs from Aug. 1-4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. See our flyer and registration information.
